Paintings

Deep sea life, the human face and figure, Japanese prints, the beautiful and on-going state of flux in nature, Surrealist and automatism concepts, along with cartoons of the 1960s and 1970s, are some of the things that influence my painting. On small wood panels, and occasionally canvases of various sizes, I use oil paints and pencils to create semi-abstract images to entice each viewer to contemplate what they are seeing- what is that form? is that a person or an animal there? It is my hope that after a viewer has experienced my paintings, they feel as though they have seen truly individual, vivid, and memorable works of art.
